This assessment tool was designed and built by Greg Barber, CPA as a tool to assess the performance of a managing partner of a professional service firm, such as accounting or law firms. Or it can be used to assess how well candidates for a managing partner position might perform if asked to take the position. No matter what its use, the more appropriate people that complete the assessment on a person, the more confident the user(s) of the assessment should feel relative to the scoring results.

 

Greg also used a number of the traits August J. Aquila, Robert J. Lees and Derek Klyhn identified as valuable traits and/or abilities desired in a managing partner through their research performed and published in a white paper entitled “Leadership At Its Strongest:  What Successful Managing Partners Do” in the summer of 2012.
